Hi! I’m Alefiya Nomanbhoy, a Singapore Registered Psychologist and licensed to practice in Singapore. I have over 25 years of experience. I specialize in providing expert psychological support to adults facing a range of challenges. With a focus on ADHD, Asperger's, high-functioning autism, depression, anxiety, academic achievement, and more, I am dedicated to empowering growth and resilience through personalized therapeutic approaches. My journey has been shaped by a commitment to supporting diverse groups, including university students, women, parents, and educators.
My past experiences include being a Consultant Psychologist at Raffles Hospital Counselling Centre and Ovspring Developmental Clinic, a Disability Liaison Officer (School of Education) at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and an academic at the National Institute of Education Singapore, James Cook University, and the University of Nottingham Malaysia. I have undertaken leadership roles as Director of Research and Postgraduate Research Programs, as well as Director of Postgraduate Taught Programs at the School of Education, University of Nottingham Malaysia.
I have also supported non-profit organizations, where I have held positions like Vice-President and President of the Society for Reading and Literacy (Singapore). I have also been an active Committee Member of the Society for the Promotion of ADHD Research and Knowledge (SPARK) (Singapore) and TEACH ME (Awwa, Singapore), contributing significantly to the advancement of knowledge and awareness.
My journey has been one of consistent commitment to enhancing human well-being through psychology, academia, and advocacy. My contributions reflect a steadfast dedication to facilitating positive change and providing valuable support to those in need.
